If you're having problems you need to see your doctor. Below is the definition of what you said you had. From the description below, which have you determined your problem has come from: a history of trauma and abuse, eating disorders, or mental traits such as low self-esteem or perfectionism? Is your bf living with you to prevent you from cutting? You sound stressed out. Determine which your problem is and work with a psychologist to change your behavior with regard to your problem....and take time to breathe and smell the flowers. Your plate is too full right now.

Self-injury (SI) or self-harm (SH) is deliberate injury inflicted by a person upon his or her own body without suicidal intent. Some scholars use more technical definitions related to specific aspects of this behavior. These acts may be aimed at relieving otherwise unbearable emotions, sensations of unreality and numbness. It is listed in the DSM-IV-TR as a symptom of borderline personality disorder and is sometimes associated with mental illness, a history of trauma and abuse, eating disorders, or mental traits such as low self-esteem or perfectionism. There is a positive statistical correlation between self-injury and emotional abuse. Non-fatal self-harm is common in young people worldwide.

Okay- to feel stressed and overwhelmed is okay!
Really it is.... Let's just find a much better way to release that "emotions" and anxieties that you have "pent up inside".

THERAPY TIME

You know it.....go to AA if you have to to get it NOW.
Do it now. AA is 24/7 and you need support!
GO! Don't wait....GO!

Then on Monday call your Doc, the anxiety is too much for you to handle and you need to physically release some chemicals. Go to the gym and "RUN or SWIM" it at a hard pace for 10 min- fast, 10 min- slow....feeling better walk it out, if NOT....then repeat twice only.

Reprogram you HEAD- Go immediately to a hypnosis specialist or do "Bio feedback" to help YOU help your own mind by learning how to turn the internal "volume down".

To tell you NO, Don't, STOP....is a waste....we both know that, make better choices and forgive yourself and move forward one day at a time.

I would seriously stop the computer NOW and go to AA.
You will find peace there. If it means AA meeting all day on Sunday,,,,, then do it....find them all and go.

It helps "all" addictive and depressive personalities, the modules for mental wellness is based in that very program!

Call someone, anyone and just talk and it doesn't matter about what. If you are on the phone or in person, you won't be cutting. Call a hotline, a ER room, minister, friend, neighbor anybody. Please don't cut, you can get your life back under control without harming your body. You can!!! Please don't make the mistake of cutting yourself, as you know, it could be for the VERY LAST TIME. People do care.

Does your boyfriend know about the cutting? If not then you should tell him so that he wont be freaked out if he see's your scars. Also, you should make sure the pills your taking are right for you because they can have a reverse effect and make your depression worse. Don't feel too bad that you gave into cutting. Just try to move on and find better ways to cope. I know how you feel because I'm a cutter and sometimes I feel hopeless. I read some of the answers on here and a girl said you need to go to AA. Alcohols anonymous is not what you need. Please dont listen to ignorant people who dont know what their talking about. Your obviously a cutter not an alcoholic.

You seem like your drowning in stress and anxiety, I am deeply sorry for you. But the thing to see is everyone has these same pressures in life they just handle them in different ways by like taking a walk or reading a book. Please dont cut again there are so many other worthy things you can with your life! Goodluck

See self harm, in section 16, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and contact them, when you feel the need to self harm/cut. Visit your school counselor. Stress may have played a part in this: you are possibly overdoing it: ask about reducing school to part-time, or you may be headed for early burnout, and a worsening of the self harm, which is an inappropriate coping strategy. See stress treatments, at *ezy-build, below on page 42. Practise daily, one of the relaxation techniques on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i; whichever works best for you, but the mindfulness breathing for 15 - 20 mns is ideal, although the progressive muscle relaxation can be learned quickly, and takes only several minutes, if pressed for time. Employ the EFT version for use in public, for which you can reasonably claim that you have a headache, as you massage/tap your temples, but it may be advisable to restrict yourself to subvocalising (saying it to yourself, in your mind, not aloud). Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o refer. "Even though I sometimes suffer from stress, I deeply and completely accept myself". You can also multitask, using the gazing technique, as you walk/jog or exercise, by focusing on a distant object, noting any thoughts which flash across your mind, without pursuing any particular train of thought, just gently redirect your focus to the gazing. Yoga, or Tai Chi may suit others, better. Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily, replacing 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements, or a teaspoonful of the oil (I spread mine on toast, and mask its strong taste with fishpaste, and pepper), in the winter months only, and eat healthily, in accordance with your "nutritional type" as determined at http://www.mercola.com/ SEARCHBAR.

Its normal to have a relapse, especially if you stopped abruptly. I know what thats like. But you might want to talk to a counselour or therapist if you're cutting again.
