Part of the problem with panic attacks is, once you've experienced one, the fear of another one coming on- when, where, and what you'll do about it. Will you be in public and get embarrassed? Seeing a counselor can and will help you identify the problem and teach you some coping strategies. This will help you tremendously. I started having panic attacks and found out it was thyroid related. You are awfully young for a thyroid disorder, but you never know :) Take care and good luck!

At your age counseling will help. Meds help too. Many your age suffer social anxiety and general anxiety like you. Be positive. Just knowing you have a problem to fix is 50% of the cure.

Have you thought about seeing someone for help and possibly medication? I've heard of a med which is reputed to be really good for panic attacks. At least think about getting some counselling to hopefully get to the bottom of the problem. You are so young to be suffering for a whole year when there is help available. Please look into it.

i have anxiety disorder myself, but i don't take any meds for it and i'm glad i don't. Studies have shown and i just know that they can make you feel worse and further increase negativity instead of making you feel better. Just always think positive thoughts and take deep breaths to calm yourself down. Tell yourself over and over that you will be all right and that nothing bad will happen to you.
