There is a place
www.ilcss.org

The guy use to be a psychologist and has lots of other degrees in stuff like anthropology, counseling, education and so on.

He has moved away from all of that to help every day Joes, and Janes with the things that just happen in life.\\\

look for forums online that relate to your problems. that way its anonymous and you can talk to other people that are dealing with the same thing. :)

I'm starting to feel like a broken record (note to kids: what we used before CDs & MP3s), because I've already posted this to three other questions, but: buy a copy of David Burns' Feeling Good. It's the self-help book which is most-recommended by medical professionals. It's a cognitive therapy manual that almost everyone could benefit from.

I understand that it's difficult to see a therapist however the stigma will only be in your head because the therapist is required to keep your visit confidential so unless you tell someone no one can find out. If you truly need help a professional is the best place to go. You can also speak to a close friend or family member if you are comfortable. Many people find it easier to speak to a therapist as they are able to give more objective advice than friends/family.
Good luck

the "stigma" what stigma?

see, it is exactly people like you perpetuating such nonsense that causes such a ridiculous notion.

i am a therapist. and a wise man, a very very wise man.

and you dont need to "be off a deep end" to see a therapist. but with these messages that you have communicated in so few words, i think you are off the deep end and really do need therapy BADLY. wow!

ps: ilcss vis a vis bierdz IS a therapist. he just does not cal himself a therapist. geeze are people dumb.

If you go to see a counselor you will not be diagnosed with anything... they are just there for you to talk to.

Ring up your best friend and have a chat. See if that will help.

You're in the right place, the right piece of help can often come from a total stranger. There are hundreds of people here all willing o give you their 2 cents worth on how to run yourself back to the shallow end.

Your friendly devil

Talk therapy with a trusted mature person like a clergyman or some other person that you hold in high regard.

Ask yourself what the degree of importance your issues hold.

My method in dealing with "issues" is to go inside my mind. I've found what other refer to issues are just perturbations of the ego.
