Sorry you feel this way Cathy. It seems you are stressed out because you are starting a new semester? If I were to choose between beginning a new semester, hating new things and "always run from my problems". I would focus on dealing with always running from problems.

I have learned that the reason I get stressed out is not what is happening to me or what happened in the past. I believe it is the way I THINK about what is happening or what I THINK happened in the pass. Example, lets say you did or said something in the pass that you regret. You may then began to develop the belief or THINK you are worthless or unable to face your anxiety.

I happen to think it is this PERCEIVED BELIEF that is perhaps making you feel this way. One way to deal with this is to learn to identify and CHANGE the upsetting thoughts by saying: "Yes I feel anxious but so does everyone else but I BELIEVE I can cope with it."

Hope this gives you some idea of how we can change the way we think about our problems. You will be fine because you have identified a concern and that is the product of healthy thinking.

you may need to see a shrink and get some anxiety meds

A great deal of ppl experience anxiety when approaching new things. The best thing to do is to realize that the feelings you are experiencing are normal. There will always be new and scary things in life, but you have to just face it. If you are not able to do that, try speaking with a school counselor, your parents or friends.

You got to face your fears

In your age life is a zero-sum game, fear rule everything, kids alsomake their own rules. Some people are "socially sanctioned" to live in "social destitution", some people get all the "riches".

School is not a place to feel safe. Remember that. Take a step back, do your work, be silent and observe.
