Stopping??!

Question: when i dont feel happy, like when i feel sad or angry. i resort to scratching myself with aything that is there (like a hairbrush, nails, scissors) , biting, and hittig myself. My teachers and ''friends'' aren't helping either!
how can i stop this,i have bleeded a couple of times but not much, i just like the feelint that i get from it, it releases stress and it feels like im in control.

i have tried snapping an elastic band but what else can i do to stop, that wont have me ending up bleeding, because i dont want anyone to find out.

Don't hold ice! My shrink says it's just another way to cause pain. Exercise, like do pushups, to the point,,, past pain, not just do sit ups 'til it hurts, you have to go past the pain. Also, you could take a bucket of soap water and scrub the walls, but you have to scrub past the pain it's like you have to feel like you're gonna drop dead-this gets the frustration aout when you can't just "feel it" or if you have so many feelings at once and you can't sum it down to one

hold some ice cubes in your hand. but you really need to go and see your doctor. they'll be able to refer you for some therapy, probably CBT.

you really need professsional help. i'm not putting you down. i urge you to go. do you have a school consuler you can talk to who can send you to the right person [ i assume your in school ]. in the meantime try punching and kicking a pillow. hitit hard--hard as you can.

you have to deal with some issues in your life so please go see a counselor, you can call your state human services dept and they will direct you to where to go for free or next to free. your situation is not serious yet, but it is getting there. you will learn how to deal with situations that are too tough and maybe there are self esteem issues you have too. but thats great that you recognize this and you are seeking help. there are control and relief issues associated with self harming. please do not start drinking or using drugs. people who self harm have a high addiction rate. meds would probably be in order for you, but get a professional opinion about your own circumstances.

Talking 2 someone would be easier
