Am I the only one that gets heartburn while taking Prozac?!
Question: I started Prozac 20 mgs a little over a month ago. Last week my doc. thought it was time to bump me up to 40mgs. Now that I'm taking 40 mgs, about 10 minutes after I take it I have heartburn so bad it makes me vomit. I called my pharmacist (the doc was closed this weekend) and he said it was really uncommon to get heartburn from Prozac. I've tried everything to get rid of it! Zantac-up to 300 mgs, tums, malox, even baking soda and water. NOTHING helps! I just wonder if I am the only one that has expereinced this. Does it go away eventually?

I had the same problem and my doctor told me the same thing your pharmacist told you! Not only did I have heartburn, but I had the hiccups constantly! Eventually it passed, I think it took about 2 months or so, if I remember correctly.
