ha ha I like the little don't be a hater part. Anyway I know what ur going throw. I have been a "cutter" for 4years. I know I'm obsessed with cutting. I know I'm addicted. I was really scared(sometimes still am) that I might kill myself. I talk to my friends about how I feel. You need to talk to someone. Maybe ur parents or friends. IDK whoever you feel okay with. I hope you know you might get mean answers on here. I'm 17. It has been so hard for me to stop. What I had to do was throw all my blades away. I know myself I would not stop if I had them. Please talk to someone.

i do that too.
ive been writing lyrics
and drawing, even tho i suck.
and crying more
and yeah.
just try and find other ways.
it helped me.

but also try and find a friend who will listen to you when you wanna cut.

You need to realize why you're doing this...
Are you depressed?
Does it feel good?
Why does it feel good? Is it a high for you?
In the long run how will this affect you?
Are you suicidal?
STOP CUTTING! Its obvious, but seriously. Take it slow. Downgrade to rubber bands that you snap against your wrist. Then, ween yourself off of the pain addiction thing all together.
I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

STOP IT RIGHT NOW! You are risking yourself to all sorts of infections and possible death. Please go and talk to someone regarding this so you can get some help. Your body is a temple and you need to stop destroying it. Not only are you hurting your body but you are causing pain on yourself. Take out your frustrations with other things like exercise (boxing, kickboxing, karate, etc.,.).

Confide in someone please. Anyone. I'm a cutter myself, if you can't limit yourself then you definitely need help. I did when I felt like it was out of control and although it hasn't completely gone away is is a lot better. Just please be careful!

i'm trying to quit cutting and what i do when i feel like i need to is i get a hair band and snap it on my wrist. see, when i get upset i go into a trance like state and not only does snapping the band on my wrist help keep me out of the trance like state which keeps me away from the cutting [i do most of the cutting when i am in the trance], but it also feels a bit like cutting; so it fullfills the feeling that i need to cut myself to feel better. give it a shot, it can't hurt you more than the cutting does.

Sounds like the cutting has become a compulsive habit for you. Your going to have to distract yourself every time you feel the urge to self harm . You could call a friend or write down your feelings. Try to identify what triggers you and then decide for yourself not to use cutting as a coping mechanism.
You may need outside support by seeking a counselor to talk to. Cutting or any form of self harm can become highly addicting, and very difficult to control even you do not want to .

I've never been a cutter, but I do know that when people cut, it leaves terrible and permanent scars behind, and you don't want that. Call this 24 hour hotline crisis center number at 240 777 4000. Tell them about your problem and they will be able to further help you out. You don't want to end up in a hospital bleeding profusely and fighting for your life. Don't wait. Also, DON'T take any medication. It will just make you feel worse and increase unnecessary negativity in you.

im not a hater and wen i have a solution il let u kno! i have the same prblm! and i kno how hard it is!!! i reccomend not to tel friends they overreact and make the prblm wrs!

people become addicted to cutting themselves because cutting causes pain and pain releases endorphins which make you feel good. there isn't a good reason in the world why you can't get that same good feeling from something that isn't as harmful to you body. Take downers (I'm not promoting illegal drug use), downers calm you down. make you feel good. me, myself, i have never cut myself but I know that this is exactly how it happens. it is the same process as a nicotine patch, if you can find something to replace that feeling then it will be easier to stop
