Strange mood changes? What's it all about??!

Question: It seems like I go through phases in which I am either very irritable, snappy, stressed, hate being alone, have high anxiety, and worry about everything.
or
I am really down and depressed and question why I'm here and why my life is the way it is and feel very unmotivated and don't want to go out or go anywhere or see anyone.

And sometimes I'm both.
Every once in a while I'm just happy and content with everything in my life and who I am, but that hardly lasts long.

I don't get it. It's like I need to just pick one and go with it lol because then it would be easier to deal with it. But it switchs on me randomly. Sometimes it's day to day and sometimes it's month to month. Sometimes I have a year one way and one another. and sometimes it snaps into one or the other over the course of five minutes.

Is this something normal that a lot of people have and if so what is it called?

You show text book signs of Manic Depressive Disorder.

I go through this all the time! your not alone lol its just mood swings and stuff lol if ur a teenager, like me then your body's changing and you feel different time to time.

A friend of mine is exactly like that...she has very severe bipolar.

Hi hon... certainly, if you are worried about your shift in mood, you could talk with your family doctor.. that is the best place to start.

believe it or not, doctors deal with depression and other problems every day... so yours may have some suggestions for help/referral.

we can't diagnose you here... you could have hormone fluctuations, be very sensitive, have a mood disorder, or any number of things... heck, you could even have an overactive thyroid gland for all we know.

it's best to talk to a doc, i think.
