When I was your age I talked to the school counselor, she was really helpful and didn't push. Or tell your parents you need to go to the doctor to talk about something, just assure them you aren't pregnant because I know that would be the first thing in my mind! lol, and your dr should be able to recommend someone or even give you some meds to try. My primary was the first one to put me on something.

do the cliche thing and talk to some one. if your worried about getting in trouble its worth not cutting!!!!

If your parents/guardians aren't an option, call your doctor and set up an appointment. They won't contact your parents. I know it's hard to believe but "kids" have rights too in healthcare. You can also look for support groups in your area for whatever it is that triggers you to cut. (Stress, anger...) Your doctor is the best option. They can put you in contact with a psychologist (again no need for parental permission.) Good luck.

You pretty much have to tell your parents.

Here's the reason: if you go to anyone else, THEY are going to have to tell your parents. So if you go to a school counselor, and she doesn't tell your parents you're cutting, she's risking her job. Same deal with anyone else - it's the only responsible thing to do.

However, the way in which you tell your parents is up to you. If you don't trust them, or you're scared about how they'll react, find another adult you like/trust and ask them to help you figure out how to tell your parents, or sit with you while you do it.

I'm glad you want some help, that's really smart of you. Good luck.

I'm so sorry that you have this problem.
I had a mild cutting problem a few years ago.
Obviously something is troubling you.
The best thing to do, in my opinion is to get help from a therapist.
If you are depressed there may be a chemical inbalance in your brain which can be fixed with anti-depressents.
Last year I was severely depressed and attempted suicide. Since being prescribed anti-depressents and taking them correctly I have been doing much better.
Hopefully this can help you too.
I hope you feel better soon :)
