SO WHAT?!?!?!?!?! Being addicted to video games is WAY better than being addicted to drugs or beer!!!! Video games are a clean addiction. Theres nothing wrong with that.

Whoa. That's sad.
and such a turn-off.
anyway.. just limit yourself and talk about other things.

Knowing a lot about and enjoying your hobbies is normal. Where an obsession occurs is when you begin to shut out the normal parts of your life. i.e. bad grades, reclusive, shutting people/family out.

If you think that your hobbies are impacting your life negative, have a talk with your family and get their input. It could be that you are being too hard on yourself!

Ok, the thing is a lot of girls will be turned off by that.? My boyfriend may play video games occasionally, but he limits the time he spends.? A friend of ours plays halo 24/7 (even though he is well into his mid 20's) and I find that VERY unattractive.? It's ok to play sometimes, but it shouldn't be your main interest.? That can seem a little "comic book guy."

Find some other interests that will make you better as a person...volunteer, read, become involved in a cause you care about.? It will benefit you in the long run...way more than video games, I promise!
