Help Me, I don't know what i can do?!
Question: ive asked this question before but nobody was helpful, please help me
Ok,
Jak used to be depressed when he was younger and now he is 13 and i think he is depressed again, i walked in on him before and he was hanging from the banister himself the doctors only just saved him but im worried he will do it again.
His Uncle has just died and His girlfriend has left him and i noticed he has started sliting his wrists, he keeps scaring me making me go owtside at exactly 11.32pm (when his uncle died) and find the biggest star. He cries but doesnt admitt it and he is not speaking anymore, he won't listen to me.
im scared im going to find him hanging from the stairs again! He made me promise not to tell anyone and i am sticking by that i just want to no how i could help him.
Im so scared im crying, i really dont want him to die!

ive accualy cut my wrist bcz i feel horrible, im not making this up!

If you and his other friends are so worried about him you'll have to tell his Mum. It may be that he needs to be admitted to a pschiatric hospital if he is struggling to keep himself alive. Most psychiatric units are not too bad - very few are "really unpleasant". But if you're adament that you don't want his Mum to know then make sure he goes to his doctor and talks things over with him/her. You need to believe that you can make a difference in his life and pray for him. If he doesn't talk to you anymore, the best thing you can do as a loyal friend is pray for him.
There has got to be a reason for him wanting to hang himself.
Get down to the bottom of the issues. Bring a pastor or elder with you while you pray for him. Talk to someone in the church about his issues, seek christian counseling for him when he is willing to go.
It's not fair for this kind of responsibility to be yours. If there aren't any other family members to intervene with your friend then you should talk to the local county mental health office to try to get him an evaluation. Plus tell your friend that worrying about him is affecting you and it's not fair. You may really care about him and love him as a friend but noone can take responsibility for another's life.
