As you know I self harm. I find it very hard to tell my family. After 4years I still have told them. I only told my best friend. She has helped me a lot. This is what I did. We were at the mall and I said I need to tell you something. I made her promise not to hate me and don't be mad. I showed her some cuts and told her I need her help. That was 2months ago. She has stayed by my side helping me. I'm talking to a consular. I think you should to. I was 3weeks clean. I messed up and cut. That's okay because when ur trying to get better and fix something it takes time. If you try and stop and cut don't be mad. just try again. I would really really tell the school nurse before you tell ur family. That way the nurse can help you. Good luck. Also if ur scared take a friend.

sure maybe that well help or maybe sit down in front of them and cutt yourself....o wait they might throw u in a crazy pin for that

write a letter

Are you cutting for attention or do you need help because of it?
Try confessing in a dramatic way -- its the best way.
Break down one day and cry, [maybe keep the blood on you instead of wiping it off for an affect] beg or cry for help.
Explain why you do it and that you need serious help.
When and if you get help, remember to try to stay positive and don't worry about what could happen.

my daughter is a cutter as well....she didn't tell us, we saw the marks on her arms and got her help. she has just recently stopped cutting....but it has been a very long process. if you really want to get help for your problem, then talk to the school counslor and have him call your parents.....this is nothing to take lightly.

wwhat i did was confide in my best friend and get him to come with me to talk to someone in the school, a teacher i could trust. he then took me to the school councellor who got me all the help i needed. you shouldn't have to do this alone! its best to tell them in person when you have the courage, or do it totally impulsively, dont even think, just do it. sometimes writing a letter to your parents is easier, i know of people who have done this. its up to you waht you do, but whatever you choose, i wish you the best of luck!

I once was a cutter too. I did it as a cry for help and I would bandage it up and then my army buddies would be like what happened?? and thats how I sought to telling my supervisor what was going on with me. If you just can't find yourself to tell your nurse or your parents then tell a close friend and go together and tell them. However it makes you feel comfortable. Hope you get better

i was a cutter too. and yes, it is very hard to tell your parents, it's better if you tell a school counselor first. it was very hard for me. just don't have a friend do it for you and don't have your parents walk in on you doing it. because they may think that you never wanted to bring it up.

good luck.
