Can you tell me what this is?!

Question: First of all i have social anxiety, but the thing is whenever i go outside people just can't stop starring at me. I mean i shower everyday and brush my teeth, I have a pretty normal hygen but i just can't seem to know what their all starring about. It really pains me. Because of it i rarelly go outside, i even cut school today because i know when i will go to school it will be the same thing again. I have taken anxiety pill but they don't help. I have attempted suicide twice. I just don't what to do anymore. By the way i'm 20, male living in NYC. Even taken the subway is hell because i hate having to deal with people starring at me all the time.

I, too, once felt everyone was looking at me and didn't leave house for six years, unless I had my dog with me. This is not living a life.

Wear headphones, concentrate on your breathing all on your way to a therapist and pyschiatrist.

My agoraphobia went away when I quit feeling such shame over how my life ended up --- drug addict, drunk, broke, no friends, and not even good at suicide.

Good luck.

You need to talk to a therapist or counselor, NOW. It's VERY possible that NO ONE is staring at you, but you FEEL as if they are because of imperfect health. Anxiety like this can be cured. It's often a medical problem. Talk to a professional.

People probably aren't starring at you. You may just be paranoid and so anxious that it seems they are.

Please look into some therapy. I struggled with social anxiety a lot when I was a teen and in my early 20s. I was medicated but found that until I got therapy, nothing really helped out. I've since been less anxious and more comfortable and un-medicated for a very long time. There is hope - really there is.

You should definately see a doctor if you aren't already. They should be able to help.

How long have you had your doctor?? If its been more than a year and you need to think about changing doctors ASAP.

Where do you work??? How many sick days are you allowed a year???

Where else in the country do you have relatives???....Think about moving to a smaller city or town...

What place have you always wanted to move to???? Write some places down on paper...

After going to see you doctor and watching to see if it's doing any good ..If not change doctors IMMEDIATELY...

Good luck...

If you look long enough you will find it!!!!! Thats just about for anything. There could be a person who feels YOU are looking at them, so they turn to see and then you BOTH are staring. It must be a tough feeling for you. Your hygene and stuff you were worried about, please I am from Ny too. There are some friggin weird people here haha. Good Luck
