I'm 27 and I've been taking Adderall XR for ADD for about 4-5yrs now. I wasn't diagnosed until adulthood. I can't really give you specifics, but I know it helps me keep focused. Its no miracle drug. For instance, my mother can tell whether or not I've taken it that day simply by my conversations. If I take it, I'm ok. If I don't, I'm all over the map. The only disadvantage I've seen is that I believe you're body can get used to having it everyday & if I do miss a dose, I'm tired during the day. Now of course I know that its a stimulant, but being that I actually have ADD (a chemical imbalance) the Adderall doesn't make me run around like a person on speed. I hope I'm making some sense to you. And yes I took it this morning! lol!
