Answers: Do you have any advice on how to stop crying so that I can go to sleep?

I have went through your questions and here is what I think.

You can't stop crying because of the sexual harassment issue. I admit it took me an hour to understand the situation and analyze how it you can resolve it.

The only way you'll have peace of mind is to confront this issue with a good outcome.... so here is what I think you need to keep in crystal clear perspective.

Your goals right now are:
1) Stop the harassment, although it's only verbal it's still considered as harassment.
2) Keep your job so that you can advance your career.
3) Keep good relations with your coworkers otherwise you can never advance your career.

The problem with this is that first, your opponent is of higher management. Second, we don't know the TRUE motives of this person. Therefore I suggest you do a few things first:
1) Keep quiet and don't stir the boat for a while. You need to do some investigating yourself.
2) Ask people close to this person like friends, family, relatives regarding his personality.
3) Based on his personality, you can assess his motivation whether he's a joker, bully, etc.
4) After assessing his motivation, you can act accordingly to change the way he acts to you.

There are many sides I can see from this. He could be giving you a hard time because you're young and becoming successful (could be a good fatherly thing or a bullying thing). He could also be jealous. Or he could be interested in you but have a bad way of showing it. There is also possibility that he made a bet with someone (maybe the owner) to "break" you while the owner sided with you. There are hundreds of possible motivations that you NEED to find out which one.

Let's assume the motivation behind it is good. He could be trying to training to give you "nerves of steel" because he sees you "too soft". In management, you need to be tough as nails especially with problem employees.

Now let's assume the motivation is bad. He could be one of those people who have a low opinion of women and don't believe they should be working. This is called bullying so what you do here is to play the game but on your terms. He said you slept with this guy or that, what you do is come over to him in a party and flirt or joke with him. This will drive him nuts (and there is no law against flirting or joking).

As SunTzu said, you need to familiarize yourself with the battlefield and use this to your advantage, not fight head-on with your army of 100 against an army of 100,000.

I have been in good companies and in bad companies. I have had my share of office politics and learned that if someone throws you a lemon, you make lemonade not sue them for it.

Feel free to email me. Good luck. ^_^

hey..go wash your face,pray to god,sleep

What's wrong?I mean, did you have a bad day today or something? Or are your eyes just waterin.

Cry your heart out, you'll stop producing tears when you need to.
Life will go on and will get better.
Try to eat something, watch a funny movie, play with pets, do something to get your mind off whatever is making you cry.

read a favorite book for a little bit to get your mind off the reason you are crying. This should also make you a little drowsy or tired so you can go to sleep.

gin works for me

get over what ur crying over...but a death...u will be crying inside FOREVER

Read the Bible. Its reassuring and comforting. Then pray. You'll fall asleep.

I recommend 23rd Psalm
and really any Psalm. They're songs and prayers. They are really uplifting

hey,I am here now...go take a shower and put some good smelly stuff on...go to bed and say a prayer...pray for others...try that and see if it helps...Jesus loves you and so do we....you go girl...

Find an answer to whatever you are crying about and solve the problem later
