Moms in the hospital....?!

Question: My mom went to the hospital last night because she had problems with her pancrease giving off a chemical into her blood ( shes gonna be fine )

But my question is, im really close to my mother, and i miss her so much! i cry everytime i see her in the hospital bed and i know shes gonna be ok. I just miss her. How can i keep my spirits up during theses few days,

she could leave tommorow or the next day.

Do some stuff around the house to cheer her up. Straighten up. Dishes done. Trash taken out.

Make a sign or banner saying WELCOME HOME!

That's life. I would rather know that a loved one is going to die so I could have the chance to say good bye.

Since your mom is not going to die, then what's the problem?

Rule of thumb; Treat every person with the love and caring that you would if you knew they were going to die.

It's going to be difficult, but keep yourself busy. The more you sit around idly, the more you're going to think about it. Hang with friends, read, go places. It's completely normal to feel how you're feeling, but the best advice I have is to keep your mind busy so you don't dwell. I hope she gets better soon.

to get ur mind off things just go play some video games or myspace or whatever

You just miss your mom. You've probably never been apart before.Just keep busy with your life . When she comes home she'll need a little extra TLC while she gets her strength back. And be sure to tell her how much you love and missed her.

Call her a couple of times during the day. Just hearing her voice might cheer you up. If you really miss her don't cry when you go see her. This hospital stay may have her worried and you are just placing more stress on her. You must act like an adult or she may not recover as fast.
You must grow up sometime, why not now.
