from taking Strattera? The disadvantages?

Thanks.

I personally haven't taken it but I have a brother who takes it and he's in his mid 50's. He says that he's a lot more likely to finish what he starts, he concentrate better and he's better able to do his job. He's a journalist and writes a lot, so that he has to be able to concentrate and work for long periods of time. He also says that it had helped him to realize what his problem in school was.

I took it for 3 months and had saw no difference at all!!!

The only thing that did happen is I would get really strange dreams and I always remembered them and my head would tingle like if someone was touching my hair.

Other than that it sucked. Adderall is much better!

My father was prescribed Strattera, and initially he was much more focused, he learned to play the guitar ( taught himself with a book) and seemed better at concentrating. I am not sure if that is the only reason it was prescribed.
But the side effects were overwhelming, and it didn't mix well with other meds he was on, and he had to stop taking it, and well he isn't concentrating as well, and he is still playing guitar, but isn't learning the songs as quickly.
Hope this helps a little with your answer.

I'm 25 and I take adderall. I've tried just about everything else and it's by far the best. The only side affect is loss of appetite. Sometimes I think I'm just so focused I forget to eat...lol

I am not convinced that ADHD actually exists as a real disease. All of the symptoms of ADHD are found within the list of symptoms of complaints to the FDA about aspartame aka Nutrasweet. Until an individual has completely removed food addittives and preservatives from their diet, I wouldn't make the diagnosis of ADHD.
Not to mention the side effects of the drugs themselves.

i threw up a lot on it and was so tired.
concerta is the answer.
