I think I'm becoming a racist?!
Question: In one of my classes it's almost black people. They are so freaking loud. They could be sitting right next to the person and still so loud. Then they are so rude. At luch they act like they have never had food b4. I asked a girl why is she so loud she said because she is black. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying all black people. My best friend is black. She does not act like this.

I think it is really about the way they are raised. It's got nothing to do with being black. I know some white people like that. Just don't like it get to you. Just know there are two types of back people. They people who care about their education and the others stereo type African Americans. My best friend is black and I love her like a sis.

No, your not, they are just some of the few anoying people. Do you know any anoying white people taht act like this (i do) and I'm not going racist against my own race, you just dont like them, or the way they act. and when you go racist you go against everyone of that race

It's not a black thing, it's a crappy parent thing. If you were in a room with a bunch of white trash it would be the same. Their parents did not teach them to have any manners or take their education seriously.
Why don't you see if there is an advanced or honors class you can get into? Complain that the class is not right for you, that you want to be with people who actually care about their futures!
There is NOTHING wrong with resenting this immature behavior, but don't make the mistake to think that these ignorant idiots represent the majority of blacks... don't forget, a VERY educated black man is running for president!!
No matter what race--I think everybody is a little racist-whether they really want to admit it or not. Just try not to be and work on it~that's what I try to do!
Racist is hate. I'm hoping you r mad at that group because of your reasons what ever they may be. Look inward take self inventory,self. Whats going on with you that you would title your self as some 1 who dont like people you dont know,havnt meet yet,based on how this few acts.

The color has nothing to do with it, I have been around very loud annoying white people also. It's not the color, you just don't like loud people! :)
im gonna basicly say what everyone else says. Everyone is a little racist, but you aren't really becoming one of those people that are racist and stereotyping people. you just don't like the people in your school. It has nothing to do with race, its all in the peoples personality.
Until you automatically assume that black = loud and rude you're not being racist. Actually, I should point out that it's pretty arrogant for any group to assume that 'racism' only applies to stuff directed at them. The poster that mentioned that we all have some racism in us is absolutely right - it's just that most of us only assume that prejudice is bad if it affects us, and if it comes from us it's natural and justifiable. As a country boy, I'm well aware that city folk of every color are pushy, rude and loud, but I'm also well aware that that's a dumb over-generalization.

No honey, you are not becoming a racist. You don't dislike the other students because of their color, it's because of their behavior. I had this problem too when I worked at my last job. I worked with 2 black men and didn't like either one, I thought I was a racist until I realized that the men were just jerks and it had nothing to do with their skin color. Plus I started working with a couple of other black people who I really became good friends with. Sometimes we confuse personality with skin color when it comes to someone of a different race, we are so careful not to be racist that we forget that it's okay to dislike someone who's black (or brown or yellow or green or whatever) because of their behavior. I find it interesting that the girl you asked why she was so loud answered that it's because she's black; if anything she's the one promoting stereotypes and making race an issue when it has nothing to do with it.
