Brother said he wants to slit my -throat was he jus joking?!
Question: my bro was recently diagonessed with mental illness lastnight i herd him say he called me puccy cat and then he said he wanted to learn about the jugular and then he said he was going to slit my throat , and when i asx him about it he syas he cant remember saying such things, what should i do he said he wants to slit my aunts throat to, today he was liking his lips and asxing me when it was ok to take my throat he said some very hurtful things today to but brothers allways forgive so what should ido

That is not f-cking okay. To be mentally ill and hurt yourself/kill yourself is understandable, but when it gets to hurting/killing others, it is out of control. It doesn't matter if he was kidding or not, and you have no way of telling. Those mentally unstable can have no concept of what they're doing. I would call the police, as devastating for you as it may be. it is for you, your aunt, and your brother's well being. he needs to be isolated in a mental health facility until he is stabilized. I am not kidding. Do you really want to put you, your brother, and your aunt at risk? If you are worried about his well-being in a hospital, consider this: he kills you and spends his life in jail. Which is a better decision? Be smart about this, and don't take it lightly.
I don't know if he was joking or not but do you want to take the chance that he wasn't . If you're not sure tell someone quick ( parent ,teacher, etc.)
No listen, there is two ways to deal with this one: take it as a joke and forget all about it, if he is young and often seeks attention then he may just be acting on it, a little bit like teenagers when get ASBOs they go out and cause more trouble cus they think it cool
or
two: this is a serious threat, due to his mental illness and possibly instability he may actually be serious and means what he says (in his own mind). his care worker or metal health assistant would need to know all of this so then he can be treated correctly, i have found that people with illnesses like this can be very unpredictable. so be care full.
so not to leave on a negative, very few mentally ill people carry out there threats.hope all goes well
