Do you have any tips for giving up alcohol for a student in college?!

Question: I think I will have to start a medication that will require me to stop drinking next week, so this is my last weekend in which I will be able to drink. Drinking's become a pretty regular routine now that I'm in college, and I find it helps me to loosen up and not be shy and have fun. So, how can I go about moving on without it and not giving into temptations? Thanks

Coffee ,Black, strong ,, it's not even close but it's something and if your of the adictive personality , you'll need a replacement , so Coffee , just not after three oclock or you won't sleep , but you'll need something and Oh ,, go jogging too , get the blood working , your going to have to get that blood back to pure again , I'm sure it's been a while ..

Pick another typed of drink like iced tea or gatorade...whenever you get a craving for liquor, drink tea or gatorade instead.

Join AA, is free and it works if you work it.

Well, did someone prescribe this medication? I wouldn't take any type of medicine of this sort without a doctor's prescription. That said, you can talk to the school's counselor they have them even in college or go to a clinic or ask a medical doctor or psychiatrist. Or, if need be call Alcoholics Anonymous--they can all help you. You sound like you are a very intelligent person if you're willing to get help! I wish you much success and a healthy future.

You kinda have to take it one day at a time and learn how to interact sober. It can be awkward and take a little time but you can do it.
