Male ashamed of nasty thoughts with nice women?!
Question: A man friend needs to understand why- when he is talking with a particular female work mate, he suddenly has the thought: 'I would love to whack you'....he likes the lady, thinks she is perfectly nice, and he has respect for her. There is no argueing, nothing is happening to cause him to think this thought.They are always friendly with each other, she is an older woman who has absolutely no flaws. This has happened to him before with other women.

The human mind evolved from a primate, and before that, a mammal, and before that, a reptile. Aggression is an inherent function, which we are taught to suppress. Humans and chimpanzees only diverged 5 million years ago, and male chimpanzees dominate, and discipline the females. Read Jane Goodall's books about the chimpanzees in the Gombe reserve, in East Africa: Fifi, Frodo, Old Mr. McGregor, & co. As long as he does not act on such impulses, and is made aware of these facts, he should be alright. If not, therapy may be necessary.
I hope by whack he means "spank"... the at least it is a more common fantasy and a realtively harmless one if it eventuates to reality. I think he should seek therapy.
He needs to see a shrink
Well you should know that men normally think about any woman if she isn't over 50 and looks like Angela Merkel how it would be to do her.
We don't tell anything because of:
- sexual harassment lawsuits
- fear of rejection and later no possiblilty to see the person althogh one has to every day
- how can he really know if she wants it too?
- ...
'whack'?
As in hit- or bend her over the filing cabinet?
I believe men are programmed more sexually because that is mother nature. However you have to control that urge.
If you think something could develop and she became a bit more flirty, you could develop an affair, and then perhaps you would feel more shame. Perhaps you should excuse yourself when you feel like this, and go outside for some fresh air or something and think about other things. Most men have similar feelings so your not alone.
