Why do I need more solitude to "recharge" than other people?!

Question: It seems that whereas most people need lots of time to socialize and have company, I enjoy being alone more. Not all the time, of course, but I usually want more time alone. It helps me de-stress and be relaxed A LOT.

For example, staying up is the best thing ever for me, I am always happier when I am home alone for a while every now and then. It's dark outside, no one can disturb me, everyone else is asleep. It's all quiet and peaceful when I'm all by myself.

Is there anything weird about that? Why does this happen?

Each person has his/her own "life rhythm." You need what you need. Some people "need" to be around a lot of people all the time...... the "pack" type person... others like you (and I) need alone time ....away from the "pack." There isn't anything wrong with it. It's just the way one "is." That may change as you get older. Do what you need to do.

No, it's called being an Introvert. Some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extraversio...

Nothing unusual at all...that's just the way you are. Don't worry about it, honestly. Some people need more quiet time than others. Enjoy! KJL

Well you're the 'thinker' sort and probably use your brain more than the other........plus solitude is sometimes bliss!
So nothing wrong with you enjoy your solitude........

Do you have a job where you are always around lots of people? Is your day usually busy and stressful with deadlines? There may be many different things that contribute to why you need to be by youself to feel relaxed. I don't think its weird.
