Question: So this has been happening for a while now but it takes me like 2-3 hours just to fall asleep. I have to got o school and I'm always really tired. If I try to go to bed earlier I just stay more awake. Even if I'm really tired I still can't fall asleep and it's driving me crazy. So what should I do?

see your doctor. there could be any number of reasons why you can't sleep. For me it was depression.

don't drink pop right before bed
if there is a food that sooths your stomach or something, have
a LITTLE BIT of that
its not good to go to bed on a huge stomach.
warm milk,
bread,
rice, and warm water sometimes work.
see if a certain habit keeps you awake
try listening to soft,
classical music.
it helps
close your eyes, too

Go to the doctor and she if there is a physical reason reason for the insomnia. And talk to the doctor about not being able to sleep.

try some tylenol pm

To relieve insomnia, you should avoid substances that make it worse and have good bedtime habits that make it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. Make sure your bedroom is a comfortable temperature, dark, and quiet enough for sleep.

Avoid substances such as:

Caffeine, tobacco, and other stimulants taken too close to bedtime (effects of caffeine can take as long as 8 hours to wear off).
