It's very common and it's called Hypnagogia. It's what you experience between a dream like state and being awake, you can sometimes hear voices, people saying your name, laughing, etc...it usually occurs when you are really tired. It's very normal and everyone experiences it.

thats very strange, have u ever been involved in the occult?

i dont think that you are crazy. i have those too, but mine are of a little girl whispering my name. (no, i am NOT making fun of you!) i actually just posted a question on here about that.

i've had that happen to me A LOT. its normal i figure because it has happened to both me and a few other people i know. i dont know if there is a specific name for it, but about you feeling pinned to the bed that can be sleep paralysis. i also get that. its just that your mind is conscious but your body is pretty much paralyzed and you can not move. it feels strange and uncomfortable sometimes even scary, but you definitely arent crazy. i thought i was too. but its more common than you think.

You are experiencing something known as sleep paralysis. It's not psychiatric. It is a non-threatening sleep disorder. I find that if I just relax, the paralysis stops. Unfortunately, it occasionally includes hallucinations. Again, these aren't psychiatric. As for the voices, if they are occurring in that period between sleep and waking, again, not psychiatric, but possibly related to the paralysis.

Google sleep paralysis. There is a lot of information on net about it.

You are thinking about it too much. A few months ago, I did an experiment about thinking and hearing, and what I did was put myself and a few people in a dark room with a weak nightlight, and I told them the house was haunted and gave them the whole elaborate jig. After a while of silence, everyone said they heard footsteps and pounding and toys moving around by their own and whatnot. I tried this five times with different things like that the house was very cold or there was wind and whatnot. It turns out even I was fooled by myself! It is the natural reaction that since your brain convinces itself it is hearing things, it begins to think it is hearing things. Don't worry, you're as mentally healthy as you can be. Also, I have a minor case of the disease that means your mind will randomly pull up thoughts and cannot communicate with other muscles. It's happened twice to me, but the second time, I figured it out and thought of a stormtrooper and POP, I saw it. Try it! Seriously! I'm not making fun of you, it is actually a genetic disease, but isn't major. Just ask your doctor. Hope it helps.

Edit: So it's called sleep paralysis...interesting....

It is actually pretty common to hear voices when you're falling asleep or just waking up. Often you'll hear someone call your name (I've heard that before, and it's really creepy) but you can hear other things. Today I started to fall asleep and could have sworn I heard someone pressing buttons on a telephone! You're not abnormal for it, so don't worry.

If you start to hear these voices while completely awake, or if they get to be distressing (they happen so much it's distracting, or the voices mention murder or suicide or other bad things) you should definitely talk to a doctor, even your regular physician can help you get started on a treatment plan.

Still, if it's just random conversations and you're in the transition from sleeping to waking or vice versa, you're really fine. :)

Oh, yeah, and the feeling of being pinned to your bed is called sleep paralysis. I'm no expert, but the research I've just done through Google.com seems to say that sleep paralysis occurs during REM sleep (deep sleep) as a natural occurrence. When/If you wake up during REM sleep or right after, your body may take a while to "wake up" even though your mind has already done so.

Because of these two occurring at once, you may be sleeping uncomfortably or irregularly. Having a fitful or irregular sleep schedule can cause both sleep paralysis and sleeping hallucinations (the voices.)

The gov't does experiments on random subjects. Patriot act, right? They say hitler was wrong but their just as bad.
