I am really stressed.?!

Question: Can someone help me? I go to school all day and 3 days a week I go to taekwondo. I am way behind in math and just cant sleep at night. I have a report due feb 12 on a story I never read and my dog wont obey. I dont know how to do my math and I never will. I need tips on getting atleast a c grade on my essay on the long story I never read. I have 2 jerkoff brothers and I am always in trouble for something. I always forget to do something and am always losing my things. I feel my grades are lowering every day and after I finally understand my math from one night the whole class is a few assignments ahead. I dont know what to do and I suspect my teachers are getting mad. I never have my history done either. I dont want to go to school monday. I am feeling ultimate stress and need it lifted. I feel completely hopeless about the essay and my math. I might cry.

Aww, honey -- you're feeling overwhelmed with all you have to do, and you're having a hard time keeping up. Could you cut back on taekwondo to 2 nights a week, and then work with a tutor on the night that you used to spend there? That could help you with your math.

Make lists of your assignments, and then check them off as you finish them.

Ask your teachers for some extra help-- they're probably not mad, sweetie, -- they just don't know what you're feeling right now.

Also, please talk to your parents about how you're feeling hopeless -- that's a sign that you might be depressed.

Have you been given an assessment test for ADD? You have some classic symptoms of that disorder, which is not your fault!

If you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents, on Monday, go to your school guidance counselor and lay all this out on the table with him/her. They are there to help you.

Forget about your dog right now -- that's the least of your worries. Don't drink anything with caffeine, which could be adding to your inability to sleep.

You're going to be ok -- just ask for some help....!

Your stomach and heart symptoms are probably due to your anxiety. But it would be a good idea to get checked by a doctor.

try making a schedule for the next week, and don't let anyone get in the way of it. in the schedule put in the times you will do your assignments, make study hours, and write down the days certain things are due and nonschool related things need to be done. this usually works for me, as long as i always stick to the schedule.

well check on spark notes for your essay. It will give you a summary. For the math see if you can stay and have him explain it to you. Or does your school have a learning lab where another teacher can explain it.

As for the family stuff i do not know how to help you. Ask your parents to tell your brothers to leave you alone so you can study.

First you need to get organized.

Buy a planner. Take it to school and write down your homework, when projects are due, when you have to go the the dentist, etc. Get everything in there. On top of that, get a notecard and as you go about your day write down what you need to get accomplished- "math homework, start on language, martial arts, review science" etc. When you finish something, cross it off the list and go to the next thing.

When you get home from school IMMEDIATELY get your planner and note card out. Plan what exactly you need to do first and then start on it. Don't go home and jump on the compy. At least begin your work after planning it out and you are more likely to start it earlier, even if you only work a little and then take a break.

Is martial arts getting in the way? Maybe you could try to cut down on it until you get a system [go twice a week, then make up if they have it, etc] and don't go if you cannot finish your work.

For long term projects- start as soon as you get them. Again, even if you only get a bit done, if you have a good start it will be SO much easier to finish and you will be more motivated to do so. Don't put those things off. Work on it little be little.

Go into turorials if you need to. Ask you teachers to help and explain better after class.

Have you ever thought about going to a counselor? Even if you don't have any major issues, it's good to let it all out and [s]he can help you manage your time.

Work on your time managment and organization and it will be SOOO much better for you.

Best of luck!

Ignore your dog and your brothers.
Make lists of things you need to do and remember. Cross them off when you've finished them.
You probably aren't sleeping because your mind is thinking about all these stressful things. Put them out of your mind at night time. Tell yourself you can worry about them in the morning.
Prioritize your school work. Make a list, what is due first. Do that.
Try your best at everything. You can't do more than your best.
Think of set back as set backs, not failures.
Read the story. Take it with you and read it at lunchtime or between classes, whenever you can. I know it is a pain and knowing school stories it is probably boring as but the sooner you read it the sooner you can forget you ever read it.
Go to your teachers. Explain your situation. Tell them about your stresses. Maybe they can help you or give you an extension. If you don't understand something then ask your teachers for more help. Not everybody learns the same way. What works for the majority of the class might not work for you and you need someone to explain something slightly differently.

Almighty God is your best Helper. Just come to Jesus with genuine repentance and faith, and you will find life woth-living. Pray, pray, pray to God for help, and read Bible to know truth.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives us air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives us water to drink and food to eat.
God gives us a wonderful body and a sound mind and life.
God loves us, and we are precious to Him.
The Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation, and qualifying us to Heaven.
Jesus
