You're not insane. What crude thing is it that you're arguing with yourself about? It seems like there are voices in your head because you're not wanting to even think about it, but it seems to be out of your control. Hurting yourself is a common way to try to stop it, but you and I both know all it ever did was make it worse. It just now became a habit to do so. We can work on that, too. Get back to me. I'd love to help.

By the very nature of mental illness i.e. a change in the psyche, no one can diagnose themselves. Self perception is changed. Go to a doctor and explain your signs and symptoms and get a professional to do the work. The very fact that you are asking this question shows that you may have some worries. See a doctor.

yes. you need to be in control. don't tell them to shut up, because thats just letting them know they exit. Dominate them. this is a battle of will and if you are righteous, you will overcome them.

According to a report by the BBC it may be normal but it looks like you are in the midst of some sort of conflict...

its your concience speakin.

I would say to get help just in case. I wonder why people don't have voices that tell them to do good things?

Really these voices are just energies. They're opposed to each other, and in this way maintain each other.

To break the cycle, simply stop resisting the one, and the other will stop.

Now one voice remains. The way to shut it up is to question the thought or thoughts.

From then on, acceptance is the way to avoid this.
