There are two obsessive compulsive disorders one is a personality disorder and since the television program MONK on USA it has become a popular diagnosis.

It is a difficult thing because it is so a part of your way of relating to the world around you that it seems natural to you. But if you find yourself very depressed all the time becuase you cannot control things in your life that you constantly attempt to control you may have it.

Many people have certain compulsions, like at work i like to make everything very neat and tidy all the time, for me it is an image thing and it seems a bit too compulsive at times. But it does not interfere with my job or life.

That is where it becomes a disorder. When it interferes with your functioning as a husband, a father, a good employee.

i show mild signs of ocd too, but i am functional, it doesn't interfere with my life too much. If it interferes with yours maybe you need to seek help for that.

i haven't been diagnosed by a doc, but i'm sure i have it.

my best friend does, she gets really freaked out b/c she has ocd, she starts crying over little things like if her hair is neat or not, or if her shoes match; but i'm there to tell her that there is nothing wrong. Good luck and hope for the best in things.

best place to go is youtube.com type in obsessive compulsive.... you will find all the info you need!

I want you to try some natural remedies from homopathic doctors who will not chare way too much for drugs that don't really work

Yes, I know ALL about it. I had the routine kind as a kid REALLY bad and it still pops up on me every day to a certain extent.

I have that has a friend with obsessive compulsive, he takes the same way home and to work if he is 1 min late it seems to wreck his day.He will invite you over for afternoon tea, he will not bring out another plate of goodies until that one is gone. He got a home built he would try to make it a little smaller (maybe a foot or 2) to save on the carpet, lino. He gets a mate to take him to a club 1-2 nights a week so he can save on petrol, wear and tear on his tyres etc. He will not buy a new car. His wife has her money and he has his they both pay halves on their bills etc, they are like flat mates except they have the same bed. If they go away on holiday he pays for his own ticket and she pays for her own (lucky his wife works. 12 months ago they were talking about having a child I think he would faint if he had to be the wage earner. I'd be surprised if they do have a child because of that reason.
