Some questions...?!

Question: You don't have to answer all. I'll just try to be brief so I don't run out of room.
1. What's the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath? What are the signs? How are they different (in depth please).
2. What's the difference between a psychologist and a shrink?
3. How do you know it's the right counselor for you or twhen you should get a second opinion?
4. How should I ask my mom to visit with another therapist without making myself appear as a pathetic lunetic? Does anyone else have a problem with saying you're depressed? I've been to neurologists because I won't admit to it. Is it something to be ashamed of?
5. What's the diagnostic criteria for munchausen syndrome and what's the treatment?
Thanks.

Number two. There is no difference. I guess a psychologist is a more professional name.

Number three: If they seem to understand you then it's the right one. You'll know. If they say you are fine but you aren't get a second opinion.

Number four: You are not pathetic. It is never wrong to ask for help when you need it. The chances of beating a mental illness are about 5% without help from an outside source. Everyone has problems admitting that they are depressed. It is not something that we are proud of. It is not an achievement. We generally feel that it makes us weak. This is not true. Being depressed is not something to be ashamed of. It is the same as being ashamed of having a cold.

I don't know much about your other questions. Hope this helps.
