because if you drink too much you will rely on it to relieve you of stress, pain etc. thus, dependence. and eventually you wont be able to mentally cope with life without it thus addiction.

either way, the future doesnt matter, if you drink enough you'll get alcohol poisoning, or damage your liver, and die.

death solves all of life's problems if you're the kind of coward who runs away from problems.

because having a drink makes you forget the problems in life then after time your body needs the alchol to function ,to be normal ,just to get rid of the hung over feeling you drink first thing in morning ,all day every day, thats how .

Alcohol addiction is a mental and physical disease. If you abuse alcohol for too long your body accustoms itself to that state and does not feel natural outside of it. That is the physical side and you have to overcome the physical withdraws in order to get sober.

The mental side is someone who has an addictive personality or brain that obsesses over certain things. If someone abuses alcohol this can trigger or enable an addictive personality and crave the sensation, ritual and experience of drinking alcohol.

Just like anything you develop a habit and there can be two different addictions or both.
