How to want goals when there is nothing that you actually want?!


Question: Ok Guys hard llife child abuse,other abuse<domestic violence--so ok i am damaged i know that.Been married 2x had children suffer from sever anxiety ect....but now what??Have no family children have dissapeared..wanted to top my self many a time but havent but dont know what to do now!!..Cant get out the house by myself....my children wheremy life been one year since i have know where they are and family are Jehovahs Witnesses..so there fore no support been like that sincei was16 now 31-been in house fire yep got burnt but what now???I have nothing that i actually really want in my life..sure i read,watch movies internet ect...but thats not enough
Has anyone got any idears that dont involve going out the house as i have therapy for that...i am doing my best to help my self just windering what you guys think..and yep taking meds..and 2 lots of therapy how to make goals when you dont have family and you are really alone???

I'm sorry you're so lonely. Being depressed is enough to make people lose all kinds of motivation, including having goals. Try to take it one day at a time, or even one minute at a time.
The Internet is a valuable tool for reaching out to people and making new friends. There are many groups on Yahoo! that you could join, and you can always find a pen pal somewhere. Try to do some volunteer work from home (giving to people always makes me feel better). Also, take up meditation or even yoga, as these are solitary practices that can be time consuming (and which can be learned from books).

You need to dig down with all the willpower you can muster and ask god daily, what it is he needs to show you. Your situation on the surface does really sound depressing but you will persevere and overcome this obstacle!!! Tell yourself this over and over until you start to believe it! Also keep in mind all of the people the world over who have overcome a handicap and did amazing things!!!!

Your life at 31 is only beginning and there is much you are going to accomplish!!! I have faith in you and I
