I can't sleep at nights?!

Question: I stay up until like 4:00 am. I cant sleep and I wake up at 7:00 pm. Why is it like that? and yes I'M going through a lot of stress these past months, but cmmon staying up until 4:00 or even 5:00 sometimes. What can I do? and when I wake up in the morning i feel dead, so tired.

it will be better, before you go to bed.drink a lot of milk that will help make you relax try it..

ask your doctor for some trazidone its not addicing and you can get a good full sleep on it are maybe or Tylenol pm good-luck

Try a sleeping medicine like Benedryl, but be care, do not depend on them.

Try taking some melatonin and eating some dried apricots at bedtime.

take sleeping pills, drink milk before sleeping, and finish all your homework to relieve stress. and dont try to think about anything

Stress certainly will muck about with your sleep pattern. Maybe you could try writting down all your problems in the afternoon/before bed, having a warm bath and try some relaxation techniques before bed. Try to go to bed at the same time each night and get some excersise in the day too. You could also try a herbal sleeping aid (Valerium is good). If none of the above helps you may need to see your doctor.

try self hypnosis.... it really helps, also the Jacobson Progressive Relaxation Method. Other things you can do... try sleepytime tea if worse comes to worse a couple nights of generic benedryl like walmart brand (same thing as most over the counter sleep aids but cheaper) should get you back on track. If not, go to the doctor but beware of the new sleep meds... some could have you in virtual coma. If it is anxiety and worries about what's stressing you (like your brain won't shut down) an anti-anxiety medication may be in order.

hi
same prob was vd me somtime ago.the only difference is i never took ny pills.
wat u can try out is meditate for somtime b4 goin to bed.keep all ur worries and stress stuff aside and think of somthin good....like if u hav a boyfrnd, think of him & if u don't just think abt the nice things u'll do wen u'll hav one.
another thing u can do is maintain a diary.& at the end of the day b4 goin 2 bed, write everything wat u did during the whole day......or write anything dat coms in ur mind...which u always wanted to share vd somone but cud'nt due to som reason or the other.....just go on writing.in this way u'll also feel refreshed.empty stomachs also don't let u sleep so b sure dat u'v eaten atlist somthing b4 sleeping.
last but not d least...Love URSELF for wat u are
i hope all dis helps u

This is my life also. I suggest you take a vacation. I don't mean to go on a cruise or anything, just take a break from everyday life. Sounds like you need a break.

You could try self hypnosis and write down what is troubling you and make a list of what you can do about them. Find the best answer for you and do it. I have seen many people stress over things they never plan to take action on. Make a change and take action or you will have other problems.

When it comes to sleeping disorders they are harder to handle. I have notice with my own personal sleeping issues that your bedroom environment is a major issue. Even activities before bed can effect your sleeping habits.
try rearranging your bed room furniture add a little warm color and get rid of the piles of papers the junk stored up more or less do some spring cleaning. also another good idea is to keep a live plant in your room I read in a feng shui book once that adding plants in the room gives the area a more pleasant environment.
now when it comes to habits if you drink coffee in the evening switch to hot tea with milk and honey for a few days. If you watch TV before bed turn off the TV and try stretching exercises (this is good because it doesn't release adrenaline but it relaxes the muscles and release tension) If you are not physically capable of stretching a better idea read a couple pages from a book, or try a warm shower before you get ready for bed. The main idea is environment and state of mind for better sleep you need a calm pleasant environment with a relaxed state of mind and body.

No answer here will cure your problem based on the information you provided. There are many, many reasons that cause insomnia. I recommend you see your family doctor before you start medicating yourself without knowing what the problem. Also, you may want to make sure there is no caffiene in your diet and that you are getting proper nutritian.

I gusse it depends what time you sleep at night.
