What is your experience with paxil?!
Question: I took it for depression with anxiety. It made me feel slightly nauseous for about 5 days, but not enough to interfere with daily activities. It was very effective for me and I would have continued to use it but it had a sexual side effect for me that I think most would want to avoid. I was unable to reach orgasm while on it. I thought this side affect was only for men, so it didn't even enter my mind at first that the medicine could do this to me, so I know I wasn't just psyching myself out. No other side effects though. Anyway, I mentioned it to my doctor. He switched me to Lexapro, which I've heard good things about, but made me feel nervous (don't need that with anxiety). Now I've been on Effexor XR for about a year and has been very effective with no noticeable side effects. Good luck!!

Made me have very weird dreams, and no libido.
Since I took it as a cure for insomnia and nothing else, I experienced a lot of side effects like:
- suicidal thoughts
- dizziness
- dry mouth
- deppression
- anxiety
- mood swing
- vomiting
- stomach pain
- hallucinations
So, I suggest talking to your doctor first before taking it. Hope this helps!
To be honest and not to sound like a smart butt, it cost to much. If I recall right I think I saw a price 22.00 a bottle and the bottle was small. Man!
Now to answer your question with what I know based on others input they say it works good.

When I took it it helped me sleep and I was more calmer during the day. I was taken off it due to the side effect of weight gain. I was only on it two weeks, but my Dr. put me on something else before the weight came on.

Prozac is good for depression and it doesn't have a lot of side effect, at least I didn't have them.
Topamax is GREAT for mood swings, headache and it helps you to not eat as much. If it wasn't for Topamax my husband couldn't and wouldn't live with me. That just goes to show you how good the medicine is and we have been together 5 years.
It was a BAD choice for me.

It works well with some, is like a placebo for some, and is a DEMON drug for a few. I was one of the unlucky few.
