Can People Change if they realy want to?!

Question: I'm wondering first of all, can someone change. lets have me for example. I'm lazy, I feel like im the only person that matters in the world. not only that, I'm Bi-Polar - ADHDmix and i take a crap load of pills. now the pills arent my problem, I've finally managed to face the fact the I must take the medication. the problem is, little things that i was to lazy to learn how to do growing up. for example i have to literaly realize that i havent brushed my teeth every day, when i should just get up in the morning and brush them before i start the day. Or when i socialize I try too hard to be funny and its a real turn off to everyone i socialize with. I'll Admit i do have some good manners, table manners and such. but what does it take to train myself to adjust to the small things, that will in turn result in a major difference in the way i live my life.
I hope this is'nt to hard to understand

It is hard to change oneself, because we are creatures of habit. Also, it is easy to believe that it is too hard, etc. But absolutely you can change. I used to have a terrible horrible temper, now I rarely even ever think an angry thought. Trick is you have to set yourself daily small goals. At first you have to 'make yourself' do these small changes, but after 40 days, you will basically have made the new habit part of your life and you can begin to bite off another piece. And it is okay to matter to yourself more than anybody else, but if you dig deeper you will find it is the opposite. If you really mattered to yourself that much, you wouldn't hurt yourself like by going without taking care of your teeth, etc.

I am hypoglycemic at times - although a diabetic. I know if I start playing on the computer before breakfast, I am likely to not do anything else. But if I eat breakfast first, I am likely to stick to a healthier pattern. I, too, want to continue the healthy changes I have started, but some days, I just don't. I try not to be too hard on myself, but not to do the same thing the next day.

I have wondered at times how much of bi-polarism/ADHD could be due to blood sugar fluctuations.

You have to realize the importance and the benfits of doing the things you need to do. The socializing thing isnt a real problem, you just need to socialize more. It sounds like your nervous and that is the reason why you make stupid jokes. People do that its normal. Laziness well you need to see the benefits of being more productive. Make goals in your life, and see what benefits your life will gain by completing your goals. Make them realistic and obtainable. If they arent obtainable, then when you dont make them, youll be disappointed. So make easy realistic goals. Start out slow, like make it a goal to do all your homework for a week. Once you can build a regular routine it will be easy to build upon it and increase frequecy. If your goals are reant to you, and the consequences of not having goals arent real to you, then youll never take anything serious.

people dont change.
ever.

It's never too late to change-especially if you really want to!
Just focus on one thing you want to change at a time ;)
