Being molested and being raped is the same thing, the difference is molested is used for when you were a child. Make no beefs about being molested it IS rape. Adults often will use the word molested as a child instead of raped as a child as a way to minimize it. It is a verbal coping mechanism that affects the psychology of a person.
they were both horribly violated. How the person responds after wards depends on the individual.
When molested it's usually by someone you know, which makes it very difficult because you didn't know it was wrong. Rape I'm going to assume violently from someone you don't know. I think both are devestating with different issues in the end. Trusting again for both would be very difficult to do again.
