Wellbutrin, Prozac and Paxil. I take Paxil- helps me cope with people, anxiety, depression...so on. Also try some vitamins to help you get up and go. Weight gain-don't worry about that! First worry about your mental health, then your weight!! Smile K?

A "good" anti depressant is one that works for you. The reason they have several is one doesn't work for everyone. You can't get them without a scrip from am M.D. . Tell him or her you need one, if at all possible, that is cheap. The older antidepressants often have generics that are cheaper and work just as well. You may have to try several before you find the right one for you (this is normal). good luck.
We are lucky to have quite a few medications for us to try.
It is up to you and your doctor as a team to decide what would be a good antidepressant to take.
After you tell your doctor about your particular depression, he/she will have an idea about which medication would work best for you. Be sure to let the doctor know you are concerned about weight gain and the expense.
