Answers: i find that answering questions and asking ridiculous ones makes me happy and laugh. how do i stop?

We learn new things and get to know many people and comunicate freely through the questions and answers we make.Laughing is good and healthy, but staying too long time at the pc is not quite good.
I have a dog to go out with and a nice mountainbike .....

Don't stop. You have found your meaning in life

Why stop? If it feels good, do it, it's not hurting anyone.

its a nice place to hang around and you also gain knowledge by replying questions of other people. So no need to stop however if you wish you can reduce number of hours you browse yahoo answers.

we all suffer from this syndrome. three cheers to y! answers!!!

I need to study. but i can't. yahoo answers is addicting... and im not strong enough to leave...
ahhh!!!

Happy? That's a good thing. Why mess with a good thing? Find happiness wherever you can. Unless you are neglecting yourself, your responsibilities, or your loved ones, hey.....YEAH,Y!A!!!!

I have the same problem. It's really hard to stop once I get started. Some of it is the idea of exchanging with others, being helpful, being witty and creative. But there need to be studies of whether there is also a physical addiction of the kind which has been discovered with video games, where there is an actual dopamine release within the brain, especially for adolescent and post-adolescent males. I haven't heard of anyone who has done that for Y!A yet.

no these people are addicted, you've got a healthy obsession

Dont stop - I bet you alot of us are addicted to it I know I am

Don't. Being happy and laughing are symptoms of enjoyment--hey, and it's free.

As far as you are justifying your daily routine and spending some time on Y/A and relaxing is not a problem. If you are leaving everything and just sitting on PC answering and asking is definitely addiction. I dint think you have addicted totallty.

You can't, that's why it's called an addiction.
