Its a panic attack- I have been suffering from those for 7 years now. My heart used to race and i would think I was having a heart attack. i would sweat and my fingers and lips would go numb. I would honestly think I was going to die.

Eventually the doctor put me on Paxil- a mild dosage of 20 mg- and ever since, I have been panic attack free.

Its a panic attack because you first got scared, anxious, and nervous. Those are what triggered the increase in heart rate.

You need to find something that calms your nerves. Before I was on Paxil, I found for me personally that eating or playing video games would calm me down.

sure take a whole handful...lol

Try taking 1/2 of your Klonopin if it's prescribed for you. Sit down, drink some water and think calm thoughts. I used to get panic attacks when I'd have to drive. Especially if I was over tired or over caffeinated. Doesn't hurt to give your Doc a call anyways right now. The nurse might have some suggestions for you. Hang in there.

I know how you feel. Even if you feel like you can't breathe as long as you can talk and stuff you can still breathe. It's very scary. I don't want to tell you to take your meds, I'm not a doctor, but if it's severe and you think it will help then you should consider it.

Especially if you have all the conditions you listed above and are aware of these conditions. I doubt you have a blood clot that is causing these symptoms if you have had them in the past and have panic disorder. They sound like typical panic attack symptoms.

Nothing I can say can make you feel better, I know it. Just hang in there, and know that you'll be ok.

A lot of people have a panic attack when having to go to a dentist.

The thing is after the adrenalin rush, you may end up feeling calmer after. When having this attack, close your mouth and breath through your nose and you won't hyperventilate as much and you will calm down.

Also try putting a cold cloth on the back of your neck.
