Do i have anxiety?!

Question: I dont even know what to do if i have it?

Okay, im 15. I think about thing WAY WAY too much. I handle being under pressuer at all!
Example: lets say i have a project due and i have to say it in front of the whole class, i would not do it and i wouldnt care if i got a 0 on it.

Im really afraid of things, like if my friends are going to hate me the next day. And if one of my friends hate me at school, i would just stop going to school and wouldnt face the problem.

Also: i always think that people are staring at me, then i get ackward and stuff. Like i when i walk down the halls or something i always think that everyone is staring.

Whats the problem with me?

Sounds a bit like anxiety, but it's definitely something you can work on. We all get nervous doing speeches in front of the class - what got me thru that was just reminding myself that other peers aren't really paying attention and it'll all be over in like 5-10 minutes. And it's no big deal if you mess up, at least you tried it.

When you're in high school you always think people are talking about you, laughing at you, staring at you, etc. Believe it or not, but kids your age have so many of their own problems they're dealing with, that they're not really paying you as much attention as you really think. Also, I think this is where self-confidence and self-esteem are key. If you believed in yourself you wouldn't feel as awkward when you think people may be staring. Even if they are staring, maybe it's because you're attractive or wearing something cool. Don't always think it's negative.

Anyway, you can't go your whole life avoiding things. It may work now, but eventually you'll get to a point where you can't avoid it. You're young.. you are resilient to make mistakes and bounce back quickly from them. If you feel like you need some supports handling these pressures, talk to a school counselor or your parents. It definitely does not need to be this hard.

it is just anxiety, no big deal. It is a phase and i went through it also but different symptoms try to face your fears it is the only way to get over things. Do anything you are afraid to do. Take it from someone who knows.

that's anxiety, I agree. I still battle with that and I'm older than you and in university! Just try to keep reminding yourself and it's only your anxiety or fear, and not realistic.

You are 15. You'll grow out of it. Try joining one or more clubs at school, get involved in useful activities and improve your skills. You'll make new friends and learn to love yourself for your accomplishments.

i have simi the same prob. as you... like i got a zero on this debate thing in school cause i didn't say anything and i'm like super shy i don't really talk to anybody in school except with my friends or if i have to work with somebody on a project...but your prob. is a little extreme you might want to get that checked out ...
