Mental Heath question...?!

Question: If someone has off and on days (being depressed, being happy) and they have these racing thoughts that are caused by certain things/people that cause them to lose a lot of sleep (or causes them to not sleep at all), what would that be? Because, I've been experiencing these quite often. One moment, I'm happy with the world and I crack jokes. The next, I feel sad, have dark thoughts (such as: "I wish I was dead" or "I want to die"). But, of a night, when I'm really tired and I go to bed early, I can't sleep because my head is filled with thoughts of things, people...etc. Sometimes it lasts until 6 or 7 am, which causes me to wake up later than everyone else. But, sometimes they last longer. What is this?

Most likely bipolar disorder. Sounds like it. But you should see a psychiatrist and get the facts from a professional. Definitely. Because this is serious.

google bi-polar.

it could be bipolar (manic depression) or depression and anxiety. the only way you can get a real diagnosis is to see a doctor

you should talk to a counselor about this I am sure it would really help you

Extreme highs and lows are a sign of depression, i would see someone so they could diagnose it for sure.

From what I have read this sounds like a bi polar condition, hope that I am wrong.

You really need to see a professional & If you're not old enough to get yourself there get an adult to help you make an appointment. This is not something to play around with.
