Do you think my friend was right that my boss was emotionally abusive? Or am I r!

Question: It all started when some coworkers kept telling me the boss liked me until I finally believed them and started to like him "back."

Later he decided that my performance was starting to slip, so he called me in the office. He told me that he'd realized some time ago what was going on, but he'd decided the best thing to do was to let me wonder. He said that there was just no way that he would be attracted to me, but that someday I'd meet someone who would be.

After a little while, he started yelling at me at least once a day because he said I wasn't doing a good job. He also said I was making him look bad and that the only one on my side was him. My coworkers started telling me to sue him for being abusive.

Finally thtings got so bad I tried to kill myself. (He didn't know.) When I got back to work, he said that everyone would be better off without me and fired me.

I say that he was just trying to get me to do a better job. What do you think?

First of all my concern would be that you are in therapy, the fact that you "tried to kill", yourself must be dealt with. The fact that that happened while you were still employed would mean you are eligible for insurance, and workman compensation.
For the rest, because I am hearing only one side, and really can make no judgment as to who is right and who is wrong. I will not comment.
Would however suggest you file a case with labor relations, and they will make that determination.

I think the whole thing was handled poorly by everyone! Don't get involved at work...it puts everyone in a bad spot! kjl

You shouldn't hurt yourself over someone like that. He is not worth it. I think that your boss was abusive to you so that you either quit or he have an excuse to fire you.
He probably wanted to get rid of you for some reason. I think you shouldn't have to take that kind of abuse.
