I'd make an appointment with an audiologist.
Here are some steps you can take to help alleviate the ringing:
"Cut back on or eliminate alcohol and beverages containing caffeine.
Stop smoking and stop using smokeless tobacco products. Nicotine use makes tinnitus worse by reducing blood flow to the structures of the ear.
Limit your use of aspirin, products containing aspirin, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or naproxen.
Exercise regularly. Exercise improves blood flow to the structures of the ear. However, avoid extended periods of exercise, such as bicycle riding, that keep your neck in a hyperextended position."

Make an appointment with your family Doctor and see what he/she recommends. You'll be fine. kjl

i have the same prob. mine is from shooting to many guns i am a hunter) and i have a loud ringing. sorry there is no cure but a little relief can come from putting the palms of your hands on the ears and the fingers ear located on the back of the head tap kinda hard on the back of your head like your playing the drums. do this for 30 seconds or so and it will ease the ringing for a while. but be sure your palms are blockinng and outside noise like yiou are plugging your ears.

i like you answer Meli... i will try!

I know what you mean, I have had ringing in my ears as long as i can remember. It doesnt seem to bother me though, cause its so natural to me that i dont think about it anymore. I know I can't tell you to just ignore it, but I always thought everyone had it until I became an adult and started asking people. I wish I had a suggestion but you are not alone.
