If your ears ring, and that's why you think you may have tinnitus, you may have high blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause your ears to ring also.
However, that's not what you asked.
Most likely not. A 40 person band will not normally be able to harm your hearing, unless 39 people are pointed directly at you for extended periods of time. My tinnitus was caused by working on a printing press for 2 years, then working on aircraft in the US Air Force for 7 years.
Have your blood pressure checked. Have your blood sugar checked, as that can cause your ears to ring, too.
If you think you have tinnitus, see your doctor or an audiologist. S/he would be the one to ask.
