I want to stop caring about what others think. Here is a real test for me?!

Question: I'm a thinned headed guy so I started wearing a wig last April. Around the same time I moved to a new job and I have always been with my wig on. But the tightness of the wig on my head has caused much more hairloss and I really want to get rid of it. I wouldn't feel much awkward if I move to a new environment but that will take some time. I feel really awkward about all of a sudden going to workplace with a bald head. Surely everyone will comment about it. I'd rather be someone who don't care about what others think but I don't feel strong enough to dare. Please advice.

Its hard to get over what other people think. I can't tell you how to do that since its something that I've never been able to figure out myself but as for your specific problem...

My boyfriend is partially bald and wears a ball cap ALL THE TIME, everyone knows why but it makes him feel better. However, I get him to take it off because I think he looks just as good without it, and I'm helping him to realize he doesn't have to have a baseball cap on 24/7. Like others have said its likely that they know you have hairloss and you might get some ribbing about it at first but in the end everyone will get used to it, and you'll bemore comfortable and not have such a weight on your shoulders.

I'm a woman of 51 and to be quite frank, i'd rather see a bald man, than one who wears a wig.

Just be yourself. We can't change what Mother Nature gave us... work with what you have.

If you do have some hair, please, consult a salon for a good style/cut. parting your hair and trying to cover a bald spot with a long strand of wild hair, isnt' the ticket.

Bald men can be very attractive.

Most likely, everyone already knows that you're wearing a wig. Wigs are usually very noticeable, especially on a man. The sooner you move on, the better. Showing up bald, with the Mr. Clean look, would actually make you look cool. Try growing a beard and you will be in style. Be sure to dress in new clothes the day you do it. - A new you.

I agree with the 51 year old above.

However, I'm 30, and have found bald men attractive for years.

The truth is, a lot of times even the best wigs can be easily spotted. Take the wig off and head to work. Most likely people will comment, if you don't want to answer questions then bluntly tell them "I don't feel that's any of your business"

Don't worry about what people may say or think. Be proud of who you are, it shows. And remember, bald is sexy, but nothing is sexier than a guy who is just himself.

Shave it all off.
I'm 16 and i think that bald men, even older men are more attractive than those who hide their insecurities under a wig.

I don't think I'd just walk in one day bald after wearing a wig. They might already know that you wear one. I'd try to tell the people you work with the problem and maybe take it off at work. Maybe try to make a joke out of it...that way they'll be laughing WITH you and not AT you.
