I know that sometimes side effects can be tough to tolerate. I noticed, for me anyway, that for some of my meds, if I just keep taking them for a bit it's like my body gets used to them and I don't have the side effects anymore. Be sure you mention this stuff to your doctor though because it sounds like the memory thing might just end up being a royal pain to have to tolerate. Maybe you had a rough childhood but you're certainly doing the right thing right now by getting input into how best to take care of yourself. This is a sign that you have resilience and strength; I'll bet that's hard to recognize when you're feeling shy alot of the time huh? I'm about a jillion years older then you but I'm kind of glad now that I had that shyness thing going on. I really had to fight it because I wanted to have great relationships but I think shyness can also be a gift. It makes us more sensitive about other people's feelings and, consequently, more compassionate by nature. I wouldn't trade it for anything now.

You should not stop taking any medication unless your doctor tells you it is ok. Make sure you tell your doctor about the memory and twitching.

you shouldn't stop. my girlfriend takes that for her ocd, social anxiety, and depression..it helps her a lot. you can have a mental disorder at any age...she started her problem when she was very very little. meds can only help so much. you need to talk to your doc though. maybe he should increase your meds. as for the memory, maybe adderall can help you

i thought you had to be 18+ to have zoloft? idk. ask your doctor hun.

What makes you so nervous. I hate being nervous, and do NOT END up having Schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a very dangerous mental illness. You need to focus on school work and go to a doctor.

did the doctor prescribe that medication for you? That medication can have different side effects and in some places it is not sold any more. Let the doctor know of the problems that you are having and the doctor can try a different medication

do NOT stop taking it! if you stop taking a drug straight out it can have worse affects than if you were to keep taking it! you need to get in contact with your doctor as soon as you can to let her/him know what is happening. if they think you need to stop the medication they will do so gradually so as to avoid any negative side affects. i urge you to continue taking your medication as proscribed and to contact your doctor!

I used to take Zoloft, I just can't understand why they are prescribing to young people if they said some side effects included suicide thoughts! This is out rageous, Hun you have to ask your doctor what you can do for him to remove the meds, they don't help.
