Just eaten raw garlic for my sore throat and feel ill ? please help.?!

Question: 'Could it be that you have a sensitivity to garlic I always feel unwell and sick If I eat food containing garlic...everything in moderation how many cloves did you consume not a whole floret I hope.

Your sure to feel a whole lot better once you've slept it off and your stomach's done a lot of gurgling.

Try and drink lots of water to flush it through your system.

you been at the gardener again?

if you eat raw garlic you are most probably going to suffer from bad wind, thats why you feel ill.
garlic is used for the prevention of colds not relieving symptoms during the cold.
what you need is lots of fluids, a good nights sleep and some night nurse.

you've done the right thing and go back to bed

Yeah, if i eat raw garlic i feel sick too. But don't worry it won't hurt you or make you worse. It will prob help, eventually. But you might not want to eat any more! :)

Here are some things that might help your throat feel better:

Taking ibuprofen (some brand names: Advil, Motrin) or acetaminophen (one brand name: Tylenol). (I know you're not a child!! but children should not take aspirin. Aspirin can cause Reyes syndrome --a serious illness-- and in some cases, death when it is used in children under 18 who have the flu).

Gargling with warm salt water (1/4 teaspoon of salt in 1 cup [8 ounces] of warm water).

For adults and older children, sucking on throat lozenges, hard candy or pieces of ice. A lot of people swear by zinc lozenges but that upsets my stomach, weirdly.

Eating soft foods, drinking cool drinks or warm liquids or sucking on Popsicles.

I hope that helps. It sucks to feel sick but don't worry you'll feel better soon. Good luck.

If you body really disagrees with the garlic, it will probably make you vomit. Personally I'd just wait it out.

Raw garlic is edible and digestible, in most people but not all. It's more digestible if you remove the green centre.
