Question: Who can i talk to?

Answers: Who can i talk to?

You could talk to someone at Samaritans
http://www.samaritans.org/
They have a phone number and e-mail.
They are pretty good, I used them a lot this past month.

You can also talk to someone at MIND
http://www.mind.org.uk/
They are also pretty good.

You can also e-mail me, if you like.
I'll listen.

I hope you feel better soon.

If you are still in school, is there a counselor you could talk with? Do you have a pastor?

There are free helplines around the country and there are special helplines for teenagers. Do a search on the web.

Also there are Yahoo users groups for various problems. See if one of the groups would interest you.

You can talk to me, i took psychology in highschool and in college so i can analyze you for free and stuff.

talk to some one who you can trust & is not connected with you in any way. that way you can almost(almost) garuantee an objective response. but it also depends on your relationship with your family, my 2 daughters can & do tell me very personal & secret things that they coudn't tell their mother. take a long enough time to decide who you can trust with your problem then put it to the person you feel is the right 1 to help you

bobby's right, us. Give him the best answer.

You need someone who can listen to you objectively - someone who will listen with the intent to understand you, not judge you or give you advice. If you are still in school, is there a counseling program available through your school? If not, do your parents have medical insurance that you could go to a counselor? If you are not comfortable talking to them about that, look in the phone book under "mental health" and find a helpline or also a center that will work on a sliding scale (meaning what you can afford). If you are religious, many churches also offer counseling or support groups. You are very wise to recognize that you need this type of assistance - don't put it off and please don't be ashamed either! Good luck!

please be care full WHO you talk to,has you don't know who they are and could take advantage of you. if you are at school the best person would be a counsellor,or ring the Samaritans, anyone can ring them for advise and its all private nobody will know your business.and they will help you. take care xxx

me... i am 83 percent depressed (i took a test)
email me at
girlsrock1@gmail.com
i want somone to talk to also...

go to your doctor, they can refer you to a councellor or therapist who is experienced and there for this very purpose.

You can also find therapists and councellors not through your doctor but make sure they are regestered and test out afew before you make up your mind with who to go with.

You can also call the samaritans or childline (you dont say how old you are)
samaritans is 0845 90 90 90 and childline is 0800111111

And you can eamil me or any of the other ppl above who offer, its all fine, hope you are ok?

Hi Amanda

It's good that you want to talk and I can understand why you are reluctant to do so with family and friends. Sometimes they are too close to be able to see things from an objective point of view and instead of listening will want to jump in and 'do' something.

I have two suggestions -

Make an appointment and go and talk to your GP, write down all the things you want to say and then if you get anxious or upset you can ask him/her to read it, or you can use it to remind you if you forget.

They can then make an assessment of how best to offer you help and support, they may decide to refer you for some kind of talking treatment.

My other suggestion would be to contact your local mental health charity:

http://www.mind.org.uk/Mind+in+your+area...

they are very informal, they won't judge you and they will listen to you.

You don't have to referred by anyone else, it only takes a phone call to see when they are open. People there are very friendly, and they have lots of experience and knowledge.

I used my local centre for many years and the support was much better than the health services, they are easier to access.

I now count myself incredibly luck to actually work for them.

Please give it a try, you've nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Good luck and take care.

Talk to me, I probably feel the same way you do.
