How do you make yourself not depressed?!


Question: i even tried running 1.5 miles, that usually works, but not yesterday, and I ate like 5 meals

I hear you! Sometimes I feel the exact same as you, but then I start to remind myself how much I hate feeling like that.
I kind of tell myself that there are two parts of me, battling over my emotions, the good and the bad...
Devil and the Angel...
Anyhow, I try and remind myself that I am strong enough to make myself feel better, that it is all about mind over matter...
That I would so much rather be laughing right about now...
Try writing out all your feelings and burning the paper.

I read, and I prefer something fictional. I like books that take me away from real life AND unlike watching a movie , reading distracts more of your mind and makes you really have to think about what you are doing.

normally i would run, but if that doesnt work i would call some good friends or family

listen to music

See your doctor you may need meds, and don't think its a bad thing because sometimes it's something as simple as a chemical unbalance.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

The reason behind depression is really a lack of having God. And you really need God to operate and be happy. God is joy, God is love, God is peace. I'm not trying to sound all "holy" but I can't describe Him any other way.

Go out with a group of friends - its usually harder to be depressed when you're in the company of others & having a good time

i no this is hard but keep yourself busy at all times try keeping a journal loose yourself in mindless t.v just do something. i no how this is, dont dwell or keep your mind on it if your depression gets worse go to a doctor pronto. you might end up doing things youd never think of.

Eating food and exercising isnt going to completely fix your depression. Exercising can really help, its like its cleansing you.
But if you are really depressed, you need to see a professional and start talking to someone your close with in your family or one of your friends.
Depression doesnt just affect you, its your friends and family too.
A way you can start, is just by thinking positive and being happy with yourself, once you can master this, comes acceptance.

I also like to read FICTION. It takes your mind away from your so-called reality.

This is more of a girl thing, but if you like to write at all, try writing about whatever is bothering you, get it out. It's cheaper than therapy, and sometimes you wind up answering your own questions (which is what a therapist tries to get you to do anyway). Good luck, and hang in there. You are not alone.

the most important thing that can make a person get rid of depressed mood is not thinkg of a problems that person has ,going out , having a short trip ,making friends are the best way to think that there alot beautifull things around him or her, and there is no time for that person remain for thinking of his or her problem

talk to family

just try to get ur mind off of it!
