Getting distracted?!

Question: I keep getting distracted from doing my school work sometimes for some reason and whenever I'm concentrating on something, I think of something else. Any good ideas on how to stop this? Thanks.

Heres a good technique someone said before

"Take constant notes with one hand, and fiddle with something else in the other hand. It helps. The dual "stimulation" keeps your brain focused in two separate places, so even if you find what your teacher is saying is boring... you are still being stimulated by whatever it is you're doing with your other hand.

It worked for me. I usually had a stress ball, some silly putty, or a rubber band. Something like that."

take a break n work later n how have u been can u IM yet or no lets chat some time jj

It's totally normal to get distracted especially at this time in your life, I am, of course, assuming you are in high school or grade school. There are so many things to think about especially in today's world. The media can cloud even the most serious adults thoughts. I suggest in your spare time doing things other than, say, watching T.V. Try reading a book or going for a quiet walk by yourself in the park. However, if this becomes a serious and more persistent problem I would then recommend telling someone who can help you like your parents or grand-parents or even a guidance counselor.

i get distracted alot by the people around me when they talk so i just put music with earphones that are soundproof lol.
