I think my cousin has schizophrenia.?!
Question: my cousin's 12 years old and i think she has this mental illness called : "schizophrenia" we're not sure but some of the symtoms that the people have
_ hullucinations
_ racing thoughts
_ delousins
and some other stuff- she told me this maybe a week ago after she did a report on it for health class- im worried about her and i know neither of us want to tell her parents before we have more proof she has it or not, im really scared and i bet she is to HELP!!!

Hey you REALLY need to tell an adult if you think she could have schizophrenia... maybe she doesn't but she could have another kind of illness related to schizophrenia or something like that... if your cousin is sick she needs help immediately.
You can look up more of the symptoms online, I'm sure your cousin knows them after doing her report.
This isn't something to be joked about or held back because you're afraid... you should tell someone because this is your cousin's LIFE. Don't let fear keep you from helping her. It may not be a big deal... but you can never be too sure. I don't know what proof you have of your cousin having schizophrenia... but talk to someone just in case! it's important to talk!!!

all he has to do is stop loading the spliffs. ive seen kids bang a teenth into a joint... and thats like drinking a bottle of jack in one go... youre going to fall over, and think the whole world and his brother are out to get you...
schitsophrenic people arent always in two minds..its just the one theyre using is all forked up. sectioning them may get them off the streets and out of your hair for a while, but its hardly a cure is it?
cannabis in any form messes with your head... some folks enjoy it and can exercise some controls, others are just statistics waiting to happen. we all like a drink, but we dont all become alcoholics do we? same with weed... some folks move on and become smak heads. most of us dont, most of us go to work on monday... but even raving smak heads go to work every day... until they OD of course.
how they get wrecked is irrelavent. its why they need to get wrecked, thats the real issue isnt it? stop trying to cure the effect... try understanding the cause... fix the problem, not its effect....
It wouldn't hurt her to have her see a psychiatrist. SZ is not as scary as a lot of people think it is, unless of course it goes untreated. I have SZ, and take my meds and get therapy, and it's not so bad. Yes, I bet your cousin is scared too. If she does have SZ, the sooner she's treated for it, the sooner she'll go back to schoolwork and live a good life.
