I can't think for myself?!

Question: I can't seem to make my own choices. My mom makes all my choices. Like I ask my mom if I should take my pill? and if she says IDK I don't know what to do? I have always been this way. I'm 19 I need to change. If my mom does not like my girlfriend I leave her even tho I love her.

Congratulations..for asking a very important question...You have identified your dependence on MOMMY making decisions for you....
At this age(19) and stage of your life..Its time to grow up, get a job, become become financially independent get your OWN place and start making your OWN decisions for yourself.....
You will find the self respect for yourself you need to decide things for yourself as soon as you DETACH from your MOMMY....
A codependents group in your area could help you alot.... also online there is Miracles in progress.org....they have wonderful co-dependent groups for people in your situation...
The reason you let your mommy make all your decisions is because you do not trust yourself enough to make the smallest decision...
Also your mom may have for too long been the decision maker for you and was not able to let you grow up to NOT need her in life situations,
Good luck in making that decision.....

If you were to stop asking people for things you'll be forced to answer your own questions.

be confident in yourself

You already know what to do. You need to change.
So do it. Start with little things and work you're way up to big desicions.

i know your mom is ur mom but u need to think for yourself and do wat u want to do

If you need to take medication and you know this, then just do it. Maybe you should talk to a counselor . It seems like you need to have some help with some guidance. The counselor could help you with this. I don't know your situation but, what about getting out on your own like assistance living?! Don't be afraid to ask for some help. We all need to at some point in our lives. So, you know that you have a problem with making choices and that is half of the battle. Now, talk to someone about why you have that problem and how you can deal with it. I wish you the best and good luck.
